Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This policy explains how tv-aerials.co.uk collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
tv-aerials.co.uk is operated by DIJITUL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.
- Registered address: 11 St. John Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, NG18 1QJ
- Company number: 12532695
- Email: [email protected]
DIJITUL LTD is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. We do not have a statutory Data Protection Officer; privacy queries should be sent to the email address above.
The short version
- When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to one installation company — the independent local installer covering your postcode, or, where we don't yet have one, our national coverage partner — so they can quote for and carry out the work. A record of the enquiry is kept in our systems for routing and monthly reconciliation.
- We do not sell your details, add you to marketing lists, or pass them to data brokers. Ever.
- We keep enquiry records for a limited period to route enquiries and reconcile completed jobs with installers, then delete them.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. This involves cookies — see the cookies section below.
What personal data we collect
Enquiry form data
When you submit our enquiry form we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Postcode
- The service you need and anything you write in the message box
- The town associated with the page you enquired from, where applicable
Please only include in the message box information that is relevant to your job. We do not ask for, and do not need, any sensitive information.
Technical and security data
To keep the site working and to prevent spam and abuse, our systems process your IP address (used for rate limiting of form submissions) and, where enabled, the result of a Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot check. These protections operate at the point of submission and are strictly necessary to run the enquiry service safely.
Analytics data
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). IP anonymisation is enabled. See the cookies section below.
Correspondence
If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your query.
Why we use your data, and our lawful bases
- Routing your enquiry to an installation company so they can contact you and quote for the work. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating a lead-matching service and connecting you with the installer you have asked to hear from — an outcome you expressly request when you submit the form. To the extent our matching service involves taking steps at your request before a contract, Article 6(1)(b) also applies.
- Storing enquiry records and reconciling completed jobs with installers each month. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running, billing, and auditing the service accurately.
- Preventing spam, fraud, and abuse of the enquiry form. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in the security and integrity of the site.
- Keeping accounting and tax records that may reference enquiries. Lawful basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) under UK company and tax law.
- Website analytics. Lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Responding to emails and other correspondence. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in answering the people who contact us.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it for marketing to you.
Who we share your data with
Installation companies
The purpose of this website is to connect you with an installer, so sharing your enquiry with one is central to the service. Each enquiry is shared with exactly one installation company from a single category of recipients: the independent installation companies in our network and our national coverage partner.
- If we have a local installer covering your postcode area, your enquiry goes to that independent local installation company.
- If we do not yet have a local installer for your area, your enquiry in England, Scotland, or Wales goes to our national coverage partner.
- As we onboard more local installers, more areas will be served by a local company; the one-enquiry-one-company rule does not change.
The receiving company uses your details to contact you, quote, and carry out the work. Once they receive your enquiry they act as an independent data controller for their own dealings with you, under their own privacy policy. We require them to use your details only for handling your enquiry — not for unrelated marketing.
We never sell your details, share them with marketing lists or data brokers, or pass a single enquiry to multiple competing companies.
Service providers (processors)
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract:
- Cloudflare — website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), enquiry storage (Cloudflare D1 database), and anti-bot protection (Turnstile).
- SMTP2GO — transactional email delivery (sending your enquiry to us and to the installation company), configured to use SMTP2GO's EU region.
- Google — Google Analytics 4 for website usage statistics.
Other disclosures
We may disclose personal data where required by law, to enforce our legal rights, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data).
International transfers
We keep processing in the UK and EU where we can, but some of our providers operate globally:
- Cloudflare operates a global edge network, so data may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Transfers are safeguarded by Cloudflare's data processing addendum incorporating the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- SMTP2GO is a New Zealand company; we use its EU region for sending. New Zealand benefits from UK adequacy regulations, meaning UK law recognises its data protection standards.
- Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Google's standard data protection terms.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiry records (in our database and inbox): kept for up to 24 months from submission — long enough to route your enquiry, handle any follow-up, and complete monthly reconciliation with installers — then deleted or anonymised.
- Security data (rate-limiting records): kept only briefly for spam prevention.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics data retention is set to 14 months.
- Accounting records that reference transactions with installers: kept for 6 years as required by UK tax law. These are business records between us and installers, not your enquiry itself.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_378TDYY3JF) to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used. We have IP anonymisation enabled and we do not use Analytics for advertising or to build marketing profiles.
Analytics cookies are not essential, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we only set them with your consent. You can give, refuse, or withdraw consent at any time via the cookie controls on this site, and you can additionally block Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on or your browser's cookie settings. Refusing analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or submit an enquiry.
Where Cloudflare Turnstile is active on the enquiry form, it may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technology solely to distinguish humans from bots. These are exempt from the consent requirement because they are essential to providing the service you have requested securely.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability — receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where consent is our lawful basis (e.g. analytics cookies), without affecting processing before withdrawal
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity first; we will only ask for what is proportionate. If your enquiry has already been passed to an installation company, we will tell you which company received it so you can also exercise your rights directly with them.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK supervisory authority:
- Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
- Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF
- Helpline: 0303 123 1113

Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change — for example, when new local installers join the network or we change service providers — and will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
